More Adventures with Kate!!

So, I was talking to a girlfriend of mine from elementary and high school the other night and shared this story with her. After telling it to her, I thought I should really blog about it so I would be able to repeat the story to Kate one day when she has children of her own.

About two weeks ago at church this happened. Right after Sacrament Meeting Bryan left and I thought Kate was with him, turns out she wasn't. I located her within a minute running around on the chapel stand. As I proceeded to attempted to retrieve her, she ran out of the chapel and I was unable to find her. I went and found Bryan, we decided to divide and conquer. Shortly after I can hear Kate screaming and so I follow the sound to the other side of the building and find her being carried by her dad. She was saying, "I just want to go to primary!"
Bryan had looked in the primary room and Nick motioned to him saying " she's right there". She had walked into primary and proceeded to sit down with the Sunbeam Class, not only was she being very reverent and fitting right in, apparently no one noticed she did not belong there except for Nicklas.
So the story is very funny in retrospect but at the time I was very stressed about it. I didn't even know the little girl knew where the primary room was. Go figure.

Easter Weekend Fun!

We had a fun, family filled holiday weekend! It was the best.

Friday afternoon the kids had fun coloring Easter eggs. Then Bryan and I took the boys to dinner and to see Monsters vs. Aliens. It was a really cute movie and Kate had a wonderful time with her Aunt Bonnie and cousin Nicole.

Saturday morning we got up and took the kids out to breakfast, then we came back home and went to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. The kids just love the Easter Egg Hunt, but who doesn't love to get free candy. My kids love to hunt for empty Easter eggs almost as much as the ones with candy in them.

Sunday morning the kids hunted for their Easter baskets and the eggs they had colored. Then the sugar fest began and they were loving life.

Ready for church!

After church we went to my mom and dads for an early dinner and the kids had an Easter egg hunt with the cousins. It was lots of fun, we just hung out and visited, both my brother and my sister were there with their families.

Grandma and Nicklas!

After my parents house we went to Bryan's sisters and visited for a couple hours. My niece Whitney came to town from California for the weekend so we enjoyed visiting with her. The kids cousins on Bryan's side of the family are a bit older but they hid some Easter eggs just for my kids to find and that was really sweet of them. The kids had a great time looking for all of them.

It was a fabulous Easter Sunday!. I just love the spending time with family - especially on Holidays!

It's Beautiful!!

My mom put this cute scarf in Kate's hair and when she showed it to her in the mirror:
Kate said " Oh, its beautiful!!"
This is such a Kate saying that I had to share it. She is all girl, that is for certain.

Pinewood Derby!!

This past Tuesday, March 31st was the Pinewood Derby for Alex's Cub Scout Troop. It was a blast. The boys worked on the cars all weekend, (with lots of help from Grandpa Mark, Thanks Dad, you are the best). Alex made a sleek, cool looking car that was red with black strips and decorated it with University of Utah sticker. Nick's was a great looking black truck with red strips and also sported U of U stickers. Even Kate insisted on a car (it was really a pod racer like off Star Wars, seeing it had no wheels) and of course she painted hers pink and put flower stickers on it.

Way to go boys..
Alex finished in the top four and had a fabulous time. Can't wait for the next Pinewood Derby!
