Conversations with Kate

Today on our way to pick up the boys from preschool, Kate and I had the following conversation:

Kate: I don't need a nap today.

Me: Yes you do, or you will be to ornery tonight.

Kate: I will not be ornery. Look at my face.
( I look at her and she has a big cheesy grin on it. )

That was my best laugh of the week!! Where does this girl come up with this stuff! It is priceless.

Now I can Tie my Shoes Too!!

Now my little Nicklas can tie his shoe too. Not 4 or 5 days after he learned how to blow bubbles, this kid figures out how to tie his own shoe. He had been shown but frustration would set in and he will give it a break. The other night he tied the inside tie on his robe and figured that he would also be able to tie his shoe, which he proceeded to do wonderfully. This kid amazes me every day, he is so determined to do things, it is truly inspiring. He said the next thing he is going to learn is how to ride his bike without training wheels. Stay posted for an update on that.

Good old Basketball!!

Basketball has been fun this year.. Alex has really improved and enjoys playing.
He has become a pretty good dribbler.

And boy does he know how to play defense.. He isn't afraid to get in there and fight for the ball.
It has been fun to watch him. He definitely gives 100%.
Way to go Alex!

Blowing Bubbles!

Nick can now blow bubbles. How awesome is that? This kid has some determination in him. A couple of weeks ago my mom showed Nick how to blow a bubble, he thought about it and one day about a week later asked for some bubble gum. He took it and worked on it and worked on it, about 20 minutes later the kid could blow bubbles. It was pretty amazing, his 8 year old brother can't even blow bubbles. Anyhow he is pretty much showing his new talent to anyone that will watch. Way to go Nick!!!
